This Category allows business people and people who can support the development of a strong Canadian economy to obtain a Permanent Resident Visa. Business Immigrants Entrepreneurs This program is designed for business persons who will own and manage a business in Canada, contributing to the economy and creating new jobs.  They must demonstrate business experience and a minimum legally obtained net worth of CAN $300,000.   Self-employed persons This program is designed for persons who will be able to become self-employed in Canada.  Self-employed persons are required to have either: - Relevant experience that will allow them them to make a significant contribution to the cultural or athletic life of Canada, or - Experience in farm management and the ability to purchase and manage a farm in Canada.   Investors The Immigrant Investor Program is designed for business persons who can demonstrate that have legally obtained a minimum net worth of CAN $800,000, and are willing to make a 5 year interest-free investment of CAN $400,000 with the government of Canada.
